7:30am Good Morning! Noticed that I was a little headachey during some of my sleep and when I woke up. Did a little PTR Breathing and headache went away. Checked saliva pH. The Stix showed 7.25 and the paper strip showed 7.2. Thinking about upping the dosage of baking soda to 2 teaspoons twice a day. Not sure yet. Maybe 1 3/4 teaspoons instead. I will think about it for awhile. I have untl noonish to make up my mind. Usually when I let things incubate for a time, a clear answer comes to me. That is especially true if I am relaxed.
It is Friday, which means water aerobic day. My wife and I go in the morning every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I feel the difference in my body. I also know that I have lost weight. My weight has not been an issue since I went off of meds. It took me about a year to lose the 40 pounds I gained. Water aerobics has helped to tone my muscles and give me some aerobic action. I also walk a lot – 2 miles today. And speaking of walking, I noticed on my evening walk that my breathing was a bit different. Different in a good way. Seems like the breathing was more invigorating. It reminded me of the first time I did this Baking Soda Protocol – there was a certain point where I felt an oxygenation euphoria. The feeling was as if my nostrils were as large as wheel barrows, and I was sucking in pure oxygen. Not only my nostrils and lungs felt that, but it was also as if every cell in my body had large nostrils, and they too were breathing pure oxygen. Believe me . . . it felt very good.
Back to my morning story. I did not eat anything before water aerobics, and wanted to eat as soon as I got back to give the food a chance to digest before I drank my noonish baking soda solution. I noticed that the ‘run to the bathroom’ mode is not as dominant today. Either my body is adjusting or I am not eating as much. Seems like I am settling into this taking of the baking soda drink at around noon and midnight,
12:15pm Baking soda molasses solution time. I decided on 1 and 3/4 teaspoons of baking soda with 1 teaspoon of molasses in 1 cup of water. It went down easy!
I already spoke of the breathing, but know that an Alkaline Diet is important. When I first took this protocol over two years ago, diet was a non-issue for me. Mainly it was a non-issue because I did not know anything about and alkaline food diet. I just went for it. Of course, I knew baking soda was alkaline – some charts put it at 12.0 pH, and that was my goal. The goal being to ride baking soda until the pH indicators showed 8.0 to 8.5 for 4 to 5 days. This time the goal is basically a tune up. I will go until I don’t. Probably want to get to at least 8.0 and hold it a few days. I will see what happens and what I feel like.
10:40pm Checked saliva pH. 7.5 pH on both the Stix and on the paper strip.
11:30pm Second baking soda solution of the day. This midnight cocktail is the same as the nooner – 1 3/4 teaspoons of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of molasses mixed in 1 cup of water.
I am 66 years old and guessing I weigh around 185 to 188 pounds. That is about right for me in my 6 foot tall body. I feel good at this weight. If I gained a few or lost a few, I would still feel good. What really took care of the weight gain I had when diagnosed was the Alkaline Diet. It was pretty strict. I would say around 80% Alkaline and 20% Acidic foods.
